This blog is all about the saddest anime scenes I have ever watched. It’s true that there are a lot of animes that can entertain you, can make you smile, laugh, the feeling of love, and it can also make you sad even if it’s unrealistic. In this blog it’s either you’ll agree or disagree on how I rated it as a sad anime scene.

Ps. This is not based on any sites, I based it on my own, I watched it many times over and I cried at these scenes(it’s better to watch it at night, less people to see you cry and probably more dramatic).
5. Itachi’s Death – Naruto
One of the heart breaking scenes in anime, at first thought when I have no background at Naruto at all I’m always pissed seeing Itachi in a single episode because back then I have no idea what is his real story. As Naruto develops more episode, I’m getting to know what’s the story is about little by little. I thought Itachi was a villain because he was part of Akatsuki(is a group of shinobi that existed beyond the usual system. Basically it is an organization led by someone where their goal is to make peace for all the hidden villages, though each iteration is viewed either subversives or criminals.). If you have watched Naruto fully maybe you know the sequence of the fight of Itachi and his younger brother Sasuke(the reason they fought is because Sasuke wants to take revenge for his family who was slaughtered by Itachi, though Sasuke didn’t knew the reason). At first thought when Sasuke triumph over his brother I viewed it as his death in his younger brother’s arms. The real reason how Itachi died was he had a severe sickness which consumed him up to his last breath. He died because he wanted it, he even kept his disease unspoken to his younger brother.
4. Nina and Alexander’s Transformation – Fullmetal Alchemist Brotherhood
It could be one of the worst/hated scene in an anime. It got hated scene because of the story, it’s very deep and dark napakasakit isipin di ko masikmura yung ginawa kay Nina Tucker at Alexander(He is a dog owned by Shou Tucker). The story goes like this, Shou Tucker(father of Nina) who was famous because of his alchemy to make chimera, an unholy creature brought to life by alchemically combining two living animals. The Elric brothers(the protagonist of the anime) paid a visit because they thought Shou Tucker could help them bring back their original bodies.
Tucker gave full attention to his experiments where he left his daughter Nina left alone to play with his dog. After Nina’s mother died, she got attached to the Elric Brothers while her father casted away all his other pursuit and focused on his study on Alchemy. It’s true that his position as a state alchemy was in jeopardy – If he didn’t do anything impressive research his job and reputation is at stake.
One day, Shou Tucker didn’t know what to do because it’s already deadline for his research pero wala pa siyang nagagawa. Nina tried to alleviate his anxiety, she even said that it’ll be okay and she love him. That’s what gave him the idea to make a messed up experiment where he used her own daughter as his subject. Soon after he presented his complete research to the Elric brothers but tears came out of my eyes when Nina spoke saying “Onii-chan.”
3. Kaori left kousei – Your Lie in April
Napakasakit isipin na kung sino pa yung taong nagbigay sayo ng dahilan, gave you worth, and inspired you sila pa yung mawawala sa buhay mo. This is what Kousei felt about Kaori, it is because Kaori was the one gave the reason why Arima Kousei should play piano again. Kousei was a prodigy in playing piano back when he was a child, but due to his issue with his mother he stopped playing piano. Kousei was abused whenever he loses a single tournament, yung tipong di makikita yung effort mo dahil lang na may mas magaling pa sayo. But in some instances even though he wins a tournament his mother still abuses him just because a single mistake he commit while playing piano. One day his mother died, he completely lost interest on playing piano he gave it up because there was no reason to play anymore, but one day Kaori gave reason to him to play piano again. To cut the story short, Kaori was sick(Arima didn’t knew about this until one night Kaori collapsed). The disease she has was draining her life little by little. Kaori had surgery at exactly at Kousei Arima’s competition date, Arima expected Kaori to get better but it all turned out to be the opposite of what he’s expecting.
2. Gin Broke the curse – Hotarubi no Mori e
It all started of as a calm and simple way. This film is focused on Nature, and the background music kept minimal to highlight the natural sound effects of nature. Six year old Takegawa Hotaru met mysterious masked male within the forest. Before Takegawa Hotaru gets attached to this masked man, Gin, he already revealed that he was cursed by the Mountain God; he will disappear whenever he got touched by human skin. As years pass by Takegawa always visit the forest to make sure that Gin is still in that forest because she was already attached to him. Then, the festival of the youkai’s came, Gin invited Takegawa to try going to this event. This is when the tragic scene starts, as they walk by the forest talking about how was their lives when they were apart, then one child ran and that child almost fall that was when Gin broke the curse. He thought that the child was also a spirit but he made a mistake, the child was a human that used a masked that made him look like a spirit. This is the only scene where Takegawa gets to touch and hug the one she loved. Ang sakit lang ng ganun, this is a perfect example of “pinagtagpo pero hindi itinadhana.”
1. Menma Got Found – Anohana
I had it on top 1 because of the scene where Menma got found on the exact same spot where she literally died. I cried a bucket because of this series, at first it came out as a boring anime for me but I got curious when I found out the twist of the story so I continued watching it. The twist was at the very beginning of the series she is already dead, she died back when they were young. They played hide and seek, she was finding a spot where to hide but she fell down the cliff. Her friends wasn’t able to find Menma, so at the ending of the series, when secret base(the soundtrack used in the series) started to play, my tears synced with the beat of the music. The final episode was she revealed where she hid before she died. The heart break is real on this series :(.
